For more than a decade, we have invested over £16 million in the continuous development of Maths-Whizz. That sustained investment reflects a clear belief: meaningful impact in education is built over time – through evidence, iteration, and close alignment with classroom reality.
We are undertaking a fundraiser through Crowdcube to support this next phase of investment development. This is about ensuring Maths-Whizz remains at the forefront of impactful virtual tutoring and continues to deliver measurable benefits for learners and teachers.
As a supporter of Whizz Education as a current or potential future user of Maths-Whizz, you are welcome to participate in that fund raise and become a part owner in Whizz Education.
Maths-Whizz is designed to extend the impact of high-quality teaching where time, capacity, and consistency are under pressure. By providing personalised, data-driven support for learners, it helps sustain strong practice at scale. Learners who access Maths-Whizz for 45 to 60 minutes per week, improve their maths age by, on average, just over 18 months’ in their first year – progress driven by precision, consistency, and alignment with effective teaching.
Maths-Whizz continuously diagnoses gaps in understanding through live assessment, targets those gaps with personalised intervention, and provides teachers with clear, actionable insight. The platform automates what can be automated – practice, feedback, and tracking, so teachers can focus on what cannot: instruction, professional judgement, and relationships.
As education systems face increasing pressure, high-quality, evidence-led technology matters more than ever. That’s why we’re continuing to invest – not to change direction, but to leverage AI to maximise the impact of Maths-Whizz across school implementations, fine-tuning automation, strengthening content quality, and ensuring continued alignment with curriculum and inspection frameworks.
Leadership in edtech carries responsibility. Our aim is to ensure Maths-Whizz remains the most impactful virtual maths tutor available, reducing workload, remaining grounded in evidence, and supporting teachers and schools to improve outcomes at scale.
