Let's explore mathematics resources and manipulatives!

A mathematics manipulative is an object or series of objects that can be touched and turned by an individual in such a manner as to promote conscious and subconscious thought about the mathematical concept or idea being studied. Many manipulative materials are structured to help teach a variety of mathematics concepts.

Each month we will take a look at one key resource in mathematics and provide a range of practical ideas to help you use them even more effectively in the maths lesson.
